Update 2021

I can't believe how long it has been since I sat down at the keyboard to actually write on the blog. 2020 was a hard year for everyone and I found it difficult to be in the writing frame of mind unless it was regarding the happenings in Washington, D.C. and I did not want to bring that over onto this blog. Twitter and Facebook served me well for those outpourings.

I did some more writing and editing of the books in the current work process.  One which is a historical fiction, based somewhat on my family history and the other a children's work with a "Reader's Digest" condensed preview online ( http://cearastory.blogspot.com/). Both require not only the creative process but research as well and that has been the most difficult and time consuming part.

In addition, I have been putting together an autobiography for my children. I had often wished that I had taken note of more of my grandparent's and parent's stories while they were still with us. By putting this into a "book" form, I hope to give them a little more of my history and an understanding of how my past affected the mother that I became.

My battle with cancer continues and it was also a factor in the lapse in writing as energy levels were some times just too low and I will admit that with everything happening during 2020, depression was an issue. I am more optimistic now.
