Real Men

This has the makings of a great campaign and one would hope that the message would reach those who need to hear it. It would be nice, in addition, if the entertainment industry would take a good look at some of the movies, music, etc that are being produced in which women are shown as sex objects rather than people.

I have nothing against a sexual relationship being part of a storyline but some seem to go too far in the direction of man being led by the primitive biological urge rather than an emotional reaction. I think that most men have evolved beyond this and just as women demand being seen as something other than a body, men should demand that the entertainment world start showing them as better role models for future generations.

Two Years and Counting

I wish it was as simple as the above bit of poetry would lead one to believe but the last two years have been a continuing battle with the cancer cells that have invaded my body. I am currently recuperating from the latest surgery and have additional therapy plus one or two more surgeries to look forward to undergoing.
